This was inspired by #68 out of that list of 72 "common" (?) fears.

(And it's just a fragment because that's all I've got right now, and I don't have the energy or concentration to figure out the rest of it. I wouldn't expect any further installments, either, if I were you.)

Just a note, for when you click the link: there are wildfires currently burning at both the points labled "B" and "C." But you won't see them reported on the national news, because the fires are all underground, at the roots of the trees, and in the mouldering leaf litter in the humus (so they don't look like anything), and no homes are threatened. But the air quality is "Code Orange" here, today.
