A couple of weekends ago, on this episode of the radio program "Studio 360" (http://www.studio360.org/yore/show060405.html) that "cute" comes from the word "accute," because there's something ever so slightly evil and manipulative about kittens and puppies and human children in their ability to make us do whatever they want...

I think that kitten may be the ultimate overlord of the dark empire of Cute.
