The problem with...

Writing in iambic pentameter is that it's been used so often before.

There's always a risk that whatever turn of phrase you're puzzling through will wake a slumbering ear worm (And here, I'm using "worm" in the medieval sense, to mean "Dragon")

Just this evening, while trying to compose a line about generations of medical doctors, my brain dug up this gem:

"We are sober men and true" (link to a YouTube video)

We sail the ocean blue,
And our saucy ship's a beauty;
We're sober men and true,
And attentive to our duty.
When the balls whistle free
O'er the bright blue sea,
We stand to our guns all day;
When at anchor we ride
On the Portsmouth tide,
We have plenty of time to play

(repeat, to fill out the musical number)
