I am glad you are re-imagining them and calling out the issues with the original Grimm versions. It is a great help to uncritical people like me to have a example of push back. < though this is not entirely true as last weekend I read an article about a new children's book detailing the Azaria Chamberlain Story AKA 'a dingo took my baby' and I got so incensed because it seems a perpetuation of the stereotype of dingoes as vicious when the reality is closer to 'a German Shepard mix took my baby'.

ha, I ignore mysogeny, ableism, amatonormativity and heaps of other stuff, but you try blaming a native Australian animal for something but ignore feral animal influence and I bite heads off.
