TV Series meme, from my f'list at large, it seems
(Without knowing the questions beforehand, I'm not quite sure what counts as a "series," -- just any old TV show you remember from your past? ... Do sitcoms count? ... kiddie shows? Musical variety shows? I don't know if I can come up with five that I actually remember watching regularly from my past, so this may end up being scrambled. Oh, well, let's just put down whatever images from the little flickering box pops into my head, and see what happens...)
Choose five series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.

- Doctor Who
- Zoom
- Star Trek (TOS)
- Doctor, Doctor
- Sesame Street
- Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?
I really can't decide between Doctor Who and Sesame Street. Doctor Who, because its central premise gives it the widest scope of any ongoing fiction series, and Sesame Street because I was there for its very first season, and, from episode 1, it blew every pervailing paradigm of kiddie entertainment out of the water, and it blew my five year-old mind. - If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Oh, Gods. Um, Doctor, Doctor was a whacky sitcom about a private practice group of doctors that was written as a vehicle for Matt Frewer. It was cancelled after two seasons, and has never gone into reruns or been released on DVD, and I haven't seen any of it in twenty years... All I remember, really, is lauging 'till my stomach hurt... But I suppose I could pair the titles... - What is one thing you'd like to change about 3's plotline?
I'd scrap the whole Military-Industrial-Complex mindset of the Federation. - If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
As it turns out, neither two nor five have main characters; Zoom was an educational show aimed at tweeners, with an ensamble cast of seven kids, demonstrating science experiments, crafts, and games to play... I guess I'd rather save a real person than a muppet, though, so: two. - Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?
The Hiatus. - Which is your least favorite character of 2?
Not Applicable. - If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
Um, what sort of brain even imagines this kind of question? - What song reminds you of 5?
"It takes a lot of little nuts to make a jar of peanut butter! ..." - Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?
Sesame Street, because it's been part of my life for the longest period of time. - Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
Zoom doesn't have a protagonist. And even if it had, ...Uh -- no, more like polar opposites.

But has that rape fic been done by people on our respective f'lists? Maybe... maybe not. In this context though, the question was posed as if the answerer and the characters are all in the universe -- i.e. as if the characters were real, rather than fantasy... That puts a whole new spin on it.
There's a rather sizable difference, too, between consensual sex fic, and rape fic...
