Just noticed a little quirk:

My LJ Profile Page tells me that I have 57 interests, and 57 friends.

... I feel ever so slightly uneasy having more in my Friends list than my Mutual Friends list, like I'm stalking, or something.

I'm having a Monk-like moment -- I want my interests list, my friends list, and my Mutual Friends list to all have the same number.

Hm.

:-/

Maybe a little lie-down will help it to pass.

I admit that I have felt the same way. But every time I go to cut down the list, I find they are all people I enjoy reading about.

heh. True. Of course, of the people whom I've friended who haven't friended me back, only 2 or so have really active journals, so... it's mostly just a Monk-like moment.

And on a completely different note:

...There's a discussion of the use of the Insanity Defense on the radio, now, btw, and I was just thinking of posting about the debate between the gravediggers in Hamlet about whether Ophelia was responsible for her own death, and now, I'm looking at your Hamlet Icon...

So where does that image come from?

I found it on a website www.fredgarbo.com. if I remember right, it was pictures from tour and they said that it was the ghost light from one of the theatre where they played, the best ghost light they had ever seen.

I see my f-list as more of a reading list; people whose journals I enjoy reading. I don't feel obligated to friend back everyone who friends me, and I don't feel weird if people don't friend me back. Unless, of course, they're friends in real life. ;)
