Merry, Merry!! Oh, Joy, Joy!!
Dec. 25th, 2005 01:11 pmFirst, it started yesterday afternoon. I was coming out of the bathroom, between changing my pants, when the doorbell started ringing quite insistantly. "Damn!" I thought to myself, hurrying for a towel to throw over my nekkid bottom, while I called "I'm Coming!! Hang on!" out loud.
Once I was duly covered up and "decent," I opened the door to find my two young neighbors, with a bag of homemade cookies and a card, just for me!! I thanked them cheerily and wished them a Merry Christmas.
Today, I tried to call their mother and thank her, and tell her how delicious they are (mint chocolate sugar cookies with a chocolate mint candy center, and some sort of nut/coconut balls dipped in chocolate), only to discover they've switched to a new, unlisted number.
Hmmm... will have to make a spiffy "Thank you" card, and have my aide hang it from their doorknob tomorrow... Maybe a Santa with a cornucopia on the front?
Then, I go to the futon and open Gordon's "Parcel of niftiness"[tm]. Inside I find: A radio-controlled Dalek (ROtFLMAO!! This seems to be the season for it!), a 2006 Doctor Who Annual, a big bag of jellybabies, and a plethera of C.D's for watching and listening (too many to list here in their entirety, but including Wallace and Grommit! And HIGNFY! Yay!!)
