I'm out of the treacle lake !!
Nov. 14th, 2005 01:54 amThough, in all honesty, there may be most likely are a few others in the road ahead.
And I got that in before midnight, too!
You know, I should cut myself some slack about forgetting there were treacle lakes in the road. I haven't even attempted long fiction about 14 years -- solo, that is. And even then, I never finished that one. I'm pushing to "win" this not for the pretty icon I'll get to post, but to banish some not-so muse-ful demons from my life.

Date: 2005-11-14 03:23 pm (UTC)I saw my friend Morven the other day, and she said she was 200 words behind. I told her to count her blessings! I've heard of folks who were way more behind than that.

Date: 2005-11-14 06:21 pm (UTC)I hope to get between 3,500 and 4,000 words further along by midnight, tonight.
Luckily, I'm back in my motor chair, now, so I have full back support for the first time in about a month (I'd forgotten how much support this chair gives me -- it's feeling goood), and I'm looking straight at the computer screen, instead of up, so I should be able to write for longer periods without breaks (and when I do take bathroom breaks, I can shave about 5 minutes off each one). So 3,500 seems very doable.
Of course, that will only happen if I stop lolligagging around LJ and finish my breakfast, first. Right? ;-)
Off to load myself up on some Swiss inspiration!
