This last Saturday was the 42nd Art Garden (and yes, when the MC announced that, my mind did flash to HHGttG, thankyouverymuch -- what did you expect? ;-)). I tried to post a review on Sunday, but there was a glitch on LJ's end, and it told me to try later. And in the meantime, I lost the post. So now, is the shorter version of the short version I was going to post.

I hope you'll forgive my ego while I post about just my part in the whole thing. I'll post a review of the other writers later.

When we got there, the hostess/mc was very appologetic... she forgot to list me on some of the programs. And on the those where I was listed, the title given was "A drabble" instead of: "100 WORDS. EXACTLY (not including this title)." So, she asked me to explain what a drabble was in an off-the-cuff intro. I am really glad I asked around about the history of the drabble before I got there, therefore (thanks for the link to that webpage [livejournal.com profile] pedanther!). This off-the-cuff palaver also took the edge off my nervousness, I think, and led to a better reading all around.

Afterward, several people came up to me and said they wanted to try their hand at drabbles, too... so yay!

I also printed up a bunch of brochures (15) for my custom story-writing gig, and had some takers. And a librarian at the local public library agreed to put the rest out on display on a table or something, there... And the hostess/mc/editor said I should really get my own webpage up for myself, so people could find me through Google).

So -- um... any hints on that idea? How does one set up a webpage like that?
