Yup. The song around here will likely have only one note for the next 5 weeks, or so. And that note is NaNoWriMo, of course. I am now spamming my f'list with the kinds of things I'd have called my Dad to talk about, when diving into any new writing project. His was such a good ear to ramble to.
*sigh*
I miss him. The house is now in the process of being cleaned out of everything, getting ready to be sold by November 17th... and then, it will be torn down (it was only kept standing by Dad's vigilance, for many years, as it was, and he hasn't been in there since October of last year. so... I don't blame the people who are buying it for wanting to start fresh; The plumbing inside the walls is absolutely shot, for example. And there's no point in paying taxes on a house only frogs can live in comfortably. But still...)
So anyway -- he's not here, anymore, and you guys are. So bear with me as I ramble, please. So anyway:
( NaNoWriMo Natterings behind here )
*sigh.*
I don't expect there to be much comedy in this story, but I hope to avoid a carload of angst at the same time.... I tend to get so earnest in my writing, don't I?
*But not his humor. According to my cousin, his final words were the Patty Cake game. Damn! The world needs more him.
*sigh*
