You've heard about the North Carolina Wildfire, right?

Well, it's right up against the Virgina border. And just now, as I was passing by my closed back porch door, I smelled the smoke.

Meanwhile, the raw temperature (without the high humidity factored in) was up around 99 F (37 C), again, today. There's supposed to be a cold front moving in about now, that will cool things down, and blow the away. I sure hope so, because I have to go out shopping, tomorrow, and even that brief whiff has got me wanting to sneeze, right now. If it's going to be smoky tomorrow and I'm actually out in it, my asthma will have a field day...

Oh, no, Georgie, Global Warming isn't real... *eyeroll*.

I sure hope Obama wins the election, over McCain... But at least McCain also takes global warming seriously.

Remember, back in this post, where I said that I wanted to bring back the proper use of "thee" and "thou," alongside "you"?

Well, today, while writing a reply to rob_t_firefly, I decided that if I want those words to be used properly, than I should start using them. Categorical Imperative, and all that (I keep forgetting if that one belongs to Hagel, or Kant).

At least, in writing. I'm not sure I'm up to saying "thee" and "thou" outloud, in the pressence of strangers, who Tend to Get Wrong Ideas About Things (Although, part of the proper use of the second person is that you always use "you" when speaking to strangers, so that makes it easier).

But I'd at least like to get into the habit of thinking thee and thou, properly. For one thing, it will help me keep my direct objects straight from my indirect ones...

There's a wildfire burning in North Carolina.

It's been burning for over a week. It's the largest uncontained wildfire currently burning in the United States. It's burning in a national park.

Today, around Noon, I heard that the size of the fire was approximately 63 square miles in area. Authorities are saying it may smoulder for months.
