This is my Third NaNoWriMo Anniversary.
I first took the plunge and signed up on October 21, 2005.
... I have absolutely no idea what to write about, this time around.
I'm thinking, maybe a Journey Story, because getting from Point A to Point B at least gives me a definite way to know whether I've actually reached the end, or not.
But where Point A should be? And where Point B should be? And Who should travel between said Points?
...I have no clue.
The fact that this is an election year reminds me: I may have been still traumatized by Shrub's reelection, my first year. That could have been what gave the first story its gloomy flavor.
My father died before I finished my second Nano; he lost his ability to speak before I started it. He regained some of his speach before he died, but for much of the month, he was in a hospital room without a phone, and I had no way to visit him. That could account for why the story I wanted to be a jolly Santa Claus romp turned out bitter and dark.
I like polls; maybe I am too fond of them, but "Phblhblththph!"
