Things making me happy:

  1. I'm still coming up with ideas for my Zazzle store. Maybe I'll even be able to get to the "1,000 products" goal that the people working for Zazzle say is about the minimum where you start actually getting store traffic and selling things.

  2. I have snuggly ki'cats! Trixie likes to jump onto the back of my chair, and purr in my ear; 'Manda likes to snuggle against my belly in bed.

  3. I read a folktale from Nigeria, the other night, where a lame man and a blind man are in cahoots, and the lame man's lameness is described in a way that closely resembles Cerebral Palsy. So there's an answer to that young man I once wrote a story for, who said that CP doesn't belong in fairy tales.

  4. I have walnuts. I like walnuts. I like them, and I can eat them safely.

Things making me sad:

  1. The show Chuck is more likely to be cancelled then not, and the last episode of the season is this Monday coming up. This makes me very sad, because Chuck is one of the few truly happy, geeky shows on TV. It's listed as a drama, but it's just as much a comedy... and none of the comedy is mean-spirited. It's a witty, colorful, spy show that's like a combination of a comic book, sitcom and "Nick and Nora Jones." I mean, this is the fourth season, and the two main characters are probably going to end up getting happily married, and the brother and sister and mother have been getting their family angst worked out this season. So if Monday is the last show, than at least it's ending in a place that makes sense. I'm just kinda sad that our overall culture is such that this is not a number one favorite among more people. You know? Why does ableist crap like Glee get kudos up the whazzoo, and this has been "on the bubble" since it first aired?

  2. My knee hurts.

  3. IE8 has been borked, the last couple of days. So now, I'm online via Google Chrome, and it's okay (I mean, it works), but now, none of the finger moves for moving between pages, windows, etc. work. So it doesn't feel as easy.

  4. I miss my parents; hell -- I miss having family.

  5. And, dammit, Chuck is probably going to be cancelled. I know I said that before. And it's probably a trivial thing. But there's not much else that makes me happy on Monday nights, entertainment-wise.
