icon frustrations:
Jun. 2nd, 2007 12:22 amFirst off: Yes. I have met my daily quota for ScriptFrenzy!, and gone a bit over (though not as far over as I thought I would, when I woke up this morning; when tackling an entirely new format, that blank first page can be doubly intimidating), so I am allowed to play before I go to bed.
Second off: So I thought I'd make some new icons. But damn! it doesn't seem to matter whether I use Microsoft Paintbrush (shush!), or Broderbund's PhotoShopPro, or my word processor -- whatever program I use, my computer wants to dither around the edges of my fonts. That might make it easier on the eyes with larger letters (though I doubt it, really). But it makes whatever I try to write within 100x100 pixels downright impossible to read.
Third off: So I will pay -- with a poem, or song of praise, or a drabble -- anyone who would kindly help* in making icons with these captions:
KITTY ON LAP = WIN @ LIFE!
and
ScriptFrenzy: 667 a day
(Devilish Like Cake!)
*(I can find, or make, the bases)
[ETA: Thanks to
pedanther for his textual contributions. No doubt, a G.I.P. will appear shortly.]
