Because I was jealous of the people who could decorate their pages with whatever pictures and words they wanted.
I'm still not sure I've got the right color combo, or whether it's eye-hurty or not... may have to live with it for a while.
Anyway, my background wallpaper picture is now a musical score of a real song, and it's one of my favorites, because it is one of the most pro-fun troll songs ever written, and I'm not the one who wrote it! No one's sure where the song came from originally, but versions of it started to appear in print about 200 years ago, and I just want to share the words with you (if I could, I'd sing them to you in person, but since I can't, you'll just have to imagine me singing.
(This isn't the only version out there, but these verses seem most appropriate to Internets living):
~wipes away a wee tear. You guys know how much I love you, right?~
*The original word was "fellow" but "person" works better, in context.

Let every good (person)* now join in our song,
Vive La Compagnie!
Success to each other, and pass it along.
Vive La Compagnie!
Chorus:
Vive la, vive la, vive l'amour
Vive la, vive la, vive l'amour,
vive l'amour, vive l'amour,
Vive La Compagnie!
A friend to your left, and a friend to your right,
Vive La Compagnie!
In love and good fellowship, let us unite!
Vive La Compagnie!
(Chorus)
Now, wider and wider, our circle expands.
Vive La Compagnie!
We'll sing to our comrades in far-away lands!
Vive La Compagnie!
With friends all around us, we'll sing out our song
Vive la compagnie!
We'll banish our troubles, it won't take us long
Vive la compagnie!
(Chorus)
Should time or occassion, compel us to part
Vive la compagnie!
These days shall forever, enliven our heart
Vive la compagnie!
(Chorus)
~wipes away a wee tear. You guys know how much I love you, right?~

(and I need to update my links and headers for same)
