I don't know that version. But one of the things that brought my parents together and made them my parents was a shared love of G&S.

Oh goodness!!! I hope you see it! It's SO good. It does have some cut parts, but most performances do. It's the screen version of the Joe Papp production in NY in the 80s. Angela Lansbury replaced the woman who'd played Ruth in the stage version.

G&S was a big part of my father's family, too. There was a lot of singing during gatherings.
