I now have to verify that I am at least 14 years old... every single time I want to read my own LJ -- even while I'm logged in, and even though I give the year of my birthdate in my profile (1964)... even while jumping back and forth from my friends page to my home page.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Date: 2008-03-08 12:33 am (UTC)But I flagged it nearly a month ago (or longer -- however long ago they came up with that option), and I've never had to verify my age for my own lj, until now.
If I'd been logged out, or if I did not include my birthyear in my profile, I could understand it. But I really think it's taking C.Y.A a bit too far to worry that someone will be offended by reading something they, themselves, wrote, ya know?
I have a question/comment pending in LJ Support Team's email queue... if they write back, I'll update this post.

Date: 2008-03-08 04:33 am (UTC)Also, there's an advertisement on the side of the page where you click [I am 14 years of age],* so it pulls in more advertising dollars.
*as if that would actually deter a 13 year old. As a matter of fact, it would probably entice them.
:::Sigh:::

Date: 2008-03-08 11:33 am (UTC)The problem might be in your settings?

I have the last two set to "do not collapse" and "do not filter".
It's probably lj mucking about though. It wasn't sending out comment notifications to some people yesterday.

Date: 2008-03-08 06:30 pm (UTC)Funny thing is, I can link to individual posts just fine, so if you're reading me only through your f'list page, that could be why you can get through so easily.
It's only when I try to get through via my "Newest compositions" (latest entries) that I have this redirecting headache.
What's really annoying is that, when I last checked the status of my support request (http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=854355), it lists, in my automatically storied personal data that I am not underage, and if they have that info already attached to my cookies (would that be the icing on my cookies, or the nuts inside?), it would seem that my clicking an affirmation is ridiculously redundant.
Sigh. I'm thinking, now, of removing that "adult concepts" filter off this Lj entirely, and to hell with it.
