Back in January, I made a post about my local PBS station's switching around its britcom schedule...
Well, last night, in between programs, post prime-time, there was a quick announcement made in abad humorous taking-the-piss fake British accent, giving us the new line-up; it's not been repeated since, and the information is not online, yet, so my memory of the lineup may have gaps, but:
Part of the announcement (and this may have been part of the taking of the piss) was that at least five people had voted... So maybe, you, my dear f'listers, did indeed tip the scales.
In any case, here's the lineup, (as far as I can remember it):
Vicar of Dibley
To the Manor Born
As Time Goes By
Blackadder
(Just reheard the announcement;
the one I'd forgotten was "Yes, Minister") and
Doctor Who
So that's very yayful... except the promo photo was a picture of Tennant. So maybe I was incorrect in my assumption that it would be oldskool Who, or maybe that was just the default promo picture that the Beeb is giving out to syndicates. I dunno...
So even though I'd rather see Season 20, instead of 45, at least the fact that it's on local TV at all gives us better odds of having a local con at which to gather...
So: thank you, F'list!
