- I have fallen in love with Dutched cocoa powder -- it's water soluable, so it melts right onto my tongue, without going down my windpipe. The other day, I satisfied my craving for a chocolate cookie by dropping a mini whole wheat bagal (cut side down) into a tub of the stuff, and just let the powder settle into the crevaces. It wasn't sweet, but it was rich, and not chokingly bitter
- The last time I was at the grocery store, I found dried sliced strawberries, without sugar. I also bought a packet of sliced swiss cheese. Realising how mild the cheese tasted (barely stronger than butter), I did an experiment, and put a layer of the dried strawberries between two slices of the cheese (as glue) in a sandwhich, and zapped it until the cheese was melted. Boy, was that good! The zapping really intensified the already concentrated flavor of the dried berries, and sweetened them: Strawberries and cream on bread. Yum!
