Yay! I finally got a new high score in the Orisinal.com game Winterbells (uber-cuteness with a bunny, and a musical backdrop with the same chord progression as Pachobel's [sp?] canon).

New High Score: 54,420
Previous High Score: 43,410

High scores, in games like this, feel a bit like rubber bands: the further you stretch them, the harder it gets. And I suppose each person has their own upper limit, based on skill and how obsessed one is with that particular game. When the list of top ten high scores has only one or two names for months on end, you can be pretty sure that the owner of that name is one obsessed bampot...

And, just so you don't think I'm completely slacking off, here is what I have so far, in my sonnet:

"To be responsible for an offense."
The dictionary tells me that is guilt
(de-dum, de-dum, de-dum, de- something '-ense')
(de-dum, de-dum, de-dum, de-) jails are built

...I'll keep you posted. ... Maybe I can find something useful in an online rhyming dictionary...

Of course, since I posted this, I had the *forehead slap* moment when I realized I could use the word 'defense.' ;-)

But now, I'm wondering if I just want to skip the definition quatrain, and use the space (of which there is no extra in a sonnet -- they're a bit like drabbles, that way) to explore the vague sense of guilt I feel, looking at my life.

Sonnet sequence?

I'm not sure what this word pair is asking, exactly. I talk about my need to write a sonnet on the subject of guilt here (http://capriuni.livejournal.com/341858.html), along with my initial thoughts on the sonnet's structure.

Of course, the list there is five points long. Which should have been a red flag to me (at least, this morning, when I was fully rested). If I cut the list from 5 to 4, then points 1 & 2 could be the first two quatrains, and points 3 & 4 could be the final quatrain and couplet.
