Watched Nova Science Now, last night. And the 12-minute, hard science bit was interesting. But the thing that really made me squee was this "video extra":

What If the Martians Don't Want Us to Find Them? (a 42-second animation short from one of the Pixar Guys... I think).

When I clicked the link, it opened an online player (you could choose between Quicktime and Windows media -- high or low quality; I clicked on "low" [dialup] and it actually loaded fairly quickly).

Anyway, I had to share with you guys -- you deserve cute and funny -- the lot of you!

Thanks! I think I had seen this before, but it was good to see it again. (And I added Nova Science Now to my del.icio.us account, too!)

It's a fun show. It doesn't go as far in depth as its parent, Nova, of course. And I've seen some complaints that it doesn't touch controversy. But I like it -- I especially like its introductions to scientists currently at work in different fields.

(And its designed for easier use in the classroom, I think, too, with it's shorter segments that stand alone -- hard to show an hour-long program during a 45-minute class.)

You're welcome! I love the "bouquet" at the end...
