Thank you. Though in this sense, I'm talking in the more general sense of being allowed to contribute to society.

I mean, how sad is it that the only job my Rehabilitation social worker suggested I interview for, after I'd graduated, cum laude, with a degree in English and Communications, was a job working on a factory assembly line packing eggs into cartons, for minimum wage?

I declined, mostly because it would have cost me more to pay for accessible transportation to get to work than I'd be taking home in salary.

I know there's dignity in work... but there are limits.
