Hey, of the eleven new posts on my f'list, today, I count at least five people who are feeling poorly and exhausted, with upset tummies, insomnia, painful joints and other inflictions.

So, if you count yourself in this number, please consider this your virtual mug of chicken broth and sympathy.

I hope things turn around for you, soon.

Sends you a protection forcefield to protect you from stupid neighbors' noises and beaurocratic BS.

Damn! I had a feeling I should have Googled it, to get a correct spelling suggestion...

I did remember the "eau" bit, though... just in the wrong place.

Beaurocratic-- a working system run by handsome men?

Thanks. I hope this hell is over very soon--though at least I can say I am getting better. I hope this thing misses a lot more people than it hits :(

Hooray for positive trends!!

I'm just glad that spreading sympathy through the Internets does not also entail the spreading of germs.

My mother's response, when someone asked how she was doing, when a massive flu or whatever hit, was:

"Well, her face was flushed... but her broad shoulders saved her."

Why, yes. My mother did have a mildly twisted sense of humor...

That sounds like the sort of thing my mother would say. I can't imagine having a mother without a twisted sense of humor, now that I think about it!

maybe it's the twisted sense of humor that allows someone to survive motherhood.
