Thank you. It's an effect I first noticed, was baffled by, and eventually used, when I was making the picture of "Eloise, the Pro-fun Troll" from which this icon was resized.

I just kept on selecting the new shades of green (with the eyedropper tool), and using them with the airbrush tool to create the shadings and highlights on her cheeks and nose.

I just wish I could un dither the lettering on her birthday hat. ....

Maybe I'll remake this icon, now that I'm more adept at MSPaint than I was -- gosh? is it really 10 years ago, now?
