capri0mniI probably should have posted this yesterday, when the topic was exploding all over my friends list. But I did not. So.
After viewing the retrospective of all the Doctor Who Logos through the history of the show, I have to say, my favorite is: the fourth one -- the "diamond logo."
I like it because it was my first, I imagine, (though my favorite Doctor is not my first), though I also like it because:
A) It's got kind of a Art Deco thing, going on, sorta ... but Art Deco as reimagined through a 1970s lens. And this fits rather well with the whole traveling-through-time-reimagined-history ethos of the show.
and:
B) The design is easily adapted into an applique patch -- it just looks like that is what it's meant for, for sewing onto jackets and hats and the like. And this makes it available for "Fan ownership" of the show.
You understand what I mean?

If someone asked me to adapt both elements A) and B) into a new logo, I'm not sure what I'd come up with. Maybe something Edwardian-reimagined-through-a-2010s lens. With minimal lens flare.
