How do you like this alternate picture?

Detail -- Did this as a sketch in ballpoint for a friend who wanted to give it to another mutual friend as a prezzie. Colored it, cropped it and shrunk it to LJ size today... So whadja think?

I think I'll use it when I'm feeling particularly creative-like...

(Though I now understand why you see a lot more cows jumping over moons than you do cats fiddling: Hard to draw the left-hand fingering on the neck of the violin when cats don't have fingers!) ;-)

And I really like your pheonix! Reminds me of Navajo images of the Thunderbird (When I was a kid, my mom briefly took up the hobby of Navajo style weaving, and did a tapestry of the thunderbird)...

Thankyou. I actually designed it for use as a sigil for my study group (the order of the Spiral Phoenix), which kinda fell apart because we all lived so far from each other and there were only 5 of us... but I liked it too much to not use it for *something*.

Oddly enough, my inspiration came from my old high school's badge, (back in the UK) which featured a phoenix. I used to draw it over and over...
