...Not since Sept. '08?! Yikes...
Anyway... Over the weekend, I discovered that I actually do have Windows Movie Maker on this machine, and even though I don't have any dedicated movie making tools, I figured I could practice with it, and play around making a slide-show vid, with a simple midi soundtrack (I do have a midi-composing program).
So, I was tumbling that thought around in my head, trying to think of what I might make a slide show of... and I remembered that I "rewrote" the alphabet, a few years back. And I thought that that would be kind of fun: to do a Sesame Street style slide show of the alphabet letters, with the midi tune playing in the background.
Here's the original Alphabet "rewrite" I did back in '03:
H O N Dou-ble-U A
K G B Z F-X-R-E J
M V T L C and Y
P D Q S, U and I
(Pause)
I can't tell you what went wrong --
Someone scrambled up this song!
Today, I rewrote that coda, since it wasn't going to be the ending, any more, and changed it to:
Now I've sung my H-O-Ns!
(pause)
No, wait.
(pause)
Let me try again!
And then I wrote two more verses:
A B C D, Z X Y
J K L, and G H I
M O N, P E and F
Q and V, dou-ble-U, S
Last of all comes T U R.
(pause)
Oh, so close, and yet so far!
And finally -- Third Verse (Every letter in the correct order, but sung to the tune Three Blind Mice):
A B C, D E F
G H-I J, K L-M N
O P Q R S and T U V
and then comes dou-ble-U
and X-Y-Z.
Now I know that's right;
Don't dare yell at me
for my A-B-Cs!
This last verse is tricksy, because the original is in an unusual time signature, and I'm trying to convert it to be the same with the rest of the song, and that requires counting, and dividing and stuff. And I may be a geek, but not a math geek! :-P It's still fun. But I'll save finishing it for later...
What's been less fun is that I failed to take a headache seriously this morning, and it's blossomed into a full migraine with nausea. ... So I should go eat something, now...
