First Na'Art of 2012! \o/
Aug. 1st, 2012 01:22 pmhooray! We are underway! A loose doodle of a little bit of everything,
to get myself warmed up...

*Not sure, yet, how to put posted images under a cut, via DreamWidth's new email picture-posting, which will eventually become their own version of a scrapbook... so I will edit as soon after posting as I can...
Also, just realized I have to make this public, if I want folks in
naarmamo to be able to see it...
ETA (cross-posted from my comment on
naarmamo): Okay, I can see the picture in both my journal and here, but others are telling me they cannot. I could see it immediately on Google Chrome, but I could not see it in either place on AOL (Internet Explorer) -- until I logged into my LiveJournal account, on AOL. Which just strikes me as strange.
In the meantime, I'll use Flick'r... give me a moment...
Okay, here it is on Flick'r: Can you see this?

Date: 2012-08-01 09:40 pm (UTC)Okay, that is odd... if Everyone could see it, I'd know I did it right. If no one But me could see it, I'd assume either I did something wrong, or there's a glitch in D.W.'s code.
But if some can see it, and some can't... what does that mean? Could this be one of the url addresses that the Internet has run out of?
Anyway:
Nicely swirly
Spirals are like the banjo music of visual art -- impossible to stay grumpy while playing with them. ;-)

Date: 2012-08-02 08:32 am (UTC)It seems entirely possible. Or perhaps I am slightly out of phase with the rest of the universe...

Date: 2012-08-01 10:06 pm (UTC)I might be unofficially participating in NaArMaMo – we will see if I can get over my own shyness about my (in)ability with drawn images.

Date: 2012-08-01 10:36 pm (UTC)But getting over shyness is something I find is at least half the fun...

Date: 2012-08-02 04:18 am (UTC)Here are the ones I did I did in the Bay of Islands. It's hard judging how the glazes will come out, but B&W would work beautifully.

Date: 2012-08-02 07:39 pm (UTC)I'm sure there are pottery-painting places around here... I should look some up... maybe even I could do some more hand building...

Date: 2012-08-02 05:04 pm (UTC)I have intricate weird structures/surface textures I doodle in meetings and such — seems like that would be an OK thing to add to the mix?
