*Not sure, yet, how to put posted images under a cut, via DreamWidth's new email picture-posting, which will eventually become their own version of a scrapbook... so I will edit as soon after posting as I can...

Also, just realized I have to make this public, if I want folks in naarmamo to be able to see it...

ETA (cross-posted from my comment on naarmamo): Okay, I can see the picture in both my journal and here, but others are telling me they cannot. I could see it immediately on Google Chrome, but I could not see it in either place on AOL (Internet Explorer) -- until I logged into my LiveJournal account, on AOL. Which just strikes me as strange.

In the meantime, I'll use Flick'r... give me a moment...

Okay, that is odd... if Everyone could see it, I'd know I did it right. If no one But me could see it, I'd assume either I did something wrong, or there's a glitch in D.W.'s code.

But if some can see it, and some can't... what does that mean? Could this be one of the url addresses that the Internet has run out of?

Well, that's kind of the point of Art-making month: skill has nothing to do with it. And you don't have to do any drawn images.

But getting over shyness is something I find is at least half the fun...

Oh, getting over shyness is a big part of the attraction for me. Maybe I would doodle more if I thought said images would amuse someone else, eh?

Right now I have an image of Urooà looking very crabby about his disproportionately short leg.

Doing things for the amusement of others is one of the best motivators ever, yes -- that's where theater arts come from. After all, we already know the thoughts that our in our own heads.

A display plate on a stand! Do you have pottery painting places near you? I've done it a couple of times on holiday and it's great fun. They supply the blanks (forget the correct name) and the glazes, and they fire them for you afterwards.

Here are the ones I did I did in the Bay of Islands. It's hard judging how the glazes will come out, but B&W would work beautifully.

*nods* I took several pottery classes all through high school, and a little bit in college, so I know a bit about the trickiness of glazes before and and after... I never did learn to use a potter's wheel, for making thrown pots. But I always loved hand building the pieces, and getting the gooshy clay all over my hands.

I'm sure there are pottery-painting places around here... I should look some up... maybe even I could do some more hand building...
