Signal boosting for raze

So, raze saw an online posting about a family of dogs that were abandoned when their humans moved and left them behind. She went and picked them up, and is now fostering them, and paying for vet care, until they are strong enough to travel to a no-kill shelter that will take the whole family (Mama, Dad, and three, five-month old pups) -- after they've all been spayed and neutered.

So she's asking folks to signal boost their Chip-In fundraising page (and really, truly, honestly: signal-boosting is just as important as cash, in this case).

There's only one photo on that page, but raze has taken lovely photos of all five dogs (with new names and a little bit about them), here: Clean, fed, hydrated, and loved on...

Not at all :-) ... I see, too, that you've now granted mama dog with a human-type name. My grandmother's name was "Josephine" or Josie, btw. By the time I knew her, her favorite word was "Jolly."

The joke of Ed and Jo's names is that we strongly suspect Ed is both dad of the pups, and their big brother - just too many identical looks and recessive genetic traits for that family tree to have multiple branches XD So "Ed" and "Jo" are a reference to oEDipus and JOcasta.

*forehead slap* I got the Oedipus reference (and figured that was the reason)... but I'd forgotten that his mother's name was Jocasta.

Also: Jo's great big, happy, doggy, grin reminds me of my grandmother's exclamation: "Isn't this just so jolly?!"
