Mar. 29th, 2013 02:50 pmOkay, the other day I gave in and bought Dragon quote NaturallySpeaking, since it was 40% off for one day. After it arrived in the mail I tried to run the speech recognition, only to discover that the microphone was not properly plugged in to my computer. So I had to wait for Audrey to come by today to plug-in the new microphone headset which came with the program I've now spent about an hour fiddling with the tutorial and I am now using the program to write this entry.
We are still learning each other; one trick we are having to learn is distinguishing between directions and what I actually want to say. And of course, On my end actually knowing what I want to say. So far so good however.
Dragon dictate does not recognize DreamWidth's entry window directly, but openness and dictation box from which I can transfer the text. Which I will try to do now…

Date: 2013-03-29 09:40 pm (UTC)ha-ha. It also helps if I remember to say "period" at the end of my sentences. It's also a trick it's also a trick when you wanted to type out the word period.
I mean what if wanted to have a character say: "scratch that" without having it erase what had just written?Answer: make sure to say scratch and that with a long pause in between.
