A hummingbird! I actually saw a hummingbird outside my office window, just now... less than a foot from the other side of the glass...

That's got to be a good omen, right?

At first, I thought it was just a really big wasp, and then it turned so I could see it in profile, and I clearly saw its beak and belly before it darted off... (and I don't even have a hummingbird feeder, which, frankly, I think is kind of cheating).

Well, it was in shadow, so it didn't have the sun-glinting-off -iridescent-feathers effect that you see in nature documentaries. Or it might have been female. I only saw it for a couple seconds, and realized what it was for even less..
