capri0mniIt's a Big image, so I'm going to give you the image description up top (which is long enough, but easy to scroll past), and put the image itself below the cut:

It's all black and white, now. ...I'm debating whether to add color here and there (like outlining the tree's leaves, and maybe coloring the words). It would be easier to color the entire thing if I had the option of saving a scanned image as a .gif or .png file instead of only .jpg or .pdf.

Date: 2017-03-08 03:10 pm (UTC)I'm pleased with how it turned out, and I'm grateful that mixing digital and analog drawing allowed me to fiddle and correct to get the top and bottom halves to match up.
(Doodling the hatch marks for the tree bark was the most relaxing part of the process).

Date: 2017-03-08 03:46 pm (UTC)2- This would look AMAZING on the back (rather than the front) of a tee shirt. Fronts are the better option for those in wheelchairs, true, but mostly, the people I'd feel the need to SHOW it to are the ones I'd want to be done with anyway... and hence, leaving!
3- On the subject of tee shirt graphics in particular, picture it color-reversed, WHITE lines where the black are, for most colored tee shirt fabric. I believe it would be AMAZING.
In any case, I'd LOVE to see this return some financial benefit to you, because it is beautiful, powerful, and far, far too socially relevant.

But I don't own the commercial rights to the fonts I used (I think I'm safe with the hand lettered words). But I could replace the typed-in words and choose one or two of the fonts that Zazzle offers in their design options ('cause they do own the rights... they may even offer the fonts I use already ["Impact" and "Century Gothic"])
In the meantime, I've licensed it under Creative Commons (Attribution [that reminds me: I need to sign it!], Share-Alike, Non-Commercial), so that people are free to download and print it (or have it printed) for themselves -- And more than on the back of tee-shirts, I'd love to see this in the hallways of schools, social services offices, subway walls and tenement halls...
Even the front of tee-shirts are tricky for wheelchair users, especially long and narrow designs like this, 'cause sitting down scrunches the design, and when the "punchline" is on the bottom, it often gets covered up by the seat belt.... but maybe I could adapt the design to pare down the "extra bits."

Date: 2017-03-08 05:04 pm (UTC)*I blocked out the hand-drawn bits in ellipses and curved lines, in a shade of grey that's just dark enough for me to see under bright light, but faint enough to be counted as "white background" when I asked the scanner to scan this as black and white; the words, I typed in.
