your backstory of faith and approach to spiritual life resonate very strongly with me. I'm a Unitarian Universalist.
We don't 'have a god' either, and no dogma. I love my church family for it's diversity and loving compassion. we have hindus, jews, buddhists, pagans, atheists/agnostics, humanists and christians. Ritual is Very Important for humans- we're social creatures and we need to connect and reaffirm our sense of purpose and community.
