I must admit paper snowflakes sure are fun! For your winter, holiday, enjoyment, I hereby present: 12 flying stags.

I liked it so much, I ordered an art stamp made from it! (a complete splurge, I know... but if I end up not using it for myself, I can always pass it on to my Secret Santee, next year).

Now -- let's have a sing-along, shall we? I'm sending this out to all those on my flist who live close to, or south of the equator, or simply wish they did. You all know the tune, I'm sure:

I'm dreaming of a Green Christmas --
One that is warm, and sweet, and nice.
Where the bells are ringing,
While folks are singing,
And no one's slipping on the ice.

(Edit: I've just found an earlier version of this verse, online, where the middle couplet goes: "Where the sun is shining/While bells are chiming..." Sing it whichever way you prefer.)

I'm dreaming of a Green Christmas,
With every Christmas card I send:
May your life be filled with loving friends
And may this Holiday stress not send you 'round the bend!

Thank you.

This was a doozy to work out, I must admit, especially since the site wasn't working right the first time I tried to save it, and I had to start all over from scratch. Twice.

That said, I think this is a better flake than the one I would have save had the site been working properly, the first time.

(I think that trouble is a big factor in my splurging on the stamp. ... if I did all that work, I might as well have something tangible to show for it, by gawd!)

Ooooh! Pretty! You have such patience to make such intricate flakes. I get bored with it too easily.

thank you, too!

For me, I have this image in my head, and the challenge is to figure out how to make the cuts in which order to get it to come out... so it's like a game.

Now, some people love crosswords (my father, for example), but that's the kind of thing I don't have patience with...
