The saddest thing about Chris Eccleston's decision is how quickly the mood on my friends list changed once it became public.
One moment, I'm basking in the warm glow of squeeful joy, the next moment, I'm sinking under the weight of "Oh, woes are we!"
Until this afternoon, I didn't know if there'd be any more Doctor Who after this 13-episode season was over. I had my fingers and toes crossed, sure. But I was trying not to get my expectations up too high, and to put as much energy as I could into enjoying what we have, now.
So -- can we please go back to the squeeing? It was ever so much more fun.

this is also why I probably won't read any more Harry Potter books until after the series is finished, even though I loved the first book...even intangible crowds make me slightly nervous.
