First, the Good: I got a good start on that story for Michael's birthday, yay! And,
jekesta, I've got a good idea for your apple drabble, too. I shall sit down to write it tonight, when the President Shrub is on TV telling us how wonderfully well the war in Iraq is going. This will be a good an excellent reason to ignore him.
Next, the Blah:
gordon_r_d, I tried to link to that picture of the tee-shirt you posted, and my Norton Anti-Virus started giving me dire warnings about trojan horse viruses, and asked if I wanted to delete the files. After I was given the all clear, and I logged off and on again, I noticed all bookmarks for my favorite places were gone. It will take a while to hunt them down and bring them home again, but, as many were links I haven't visited in ages, so it may just be what I needed to have a good clear-out. But I thought you should know.
And, finally, the Silly:

I don't usually do timing, but for some of the cards, it causes them to be animated, and that is fun, yes... so I do that, sometimes, when I'm playing no-score.
I use Solitaire as a coin flip, too. Mostly red cards face-up = heads; mostly black = tails.
