I don't check my own info page very often, but today I was curious to figure out when my LJ anniversary was coming up. When I checked, I also saw that two people who are friends-of-friends decided to friend me. I don't know how long they've been reading my babblings, but naturally, I'm a bit chuffed that strangers would be that interested in what I have to say, so I friended them back. Maybe we'll become regular comment buddies, and maybe not. But either way, welcome to [livejournal.com profile] cyloran and [livejournal.com profile] ionlylurkhere!

(BTW, my LJ began November 6, 2002. And this will be post #547. Any math whizzes out there want to figure out my posting average? No, I didn't think so...)

That is (after some shiny but simple maths yes) about 16.5 posts a month, so about four a week, so about one every 2 daysish yes:):):):)

::dances you::

::thanks slemslempike who actually did the actual maths yes yay::

Oh, Thank you!

:::Dances you, too:::

(I love the fact that you use "dance" as a tranitive verb, btw).

I think you should have a "Dances you, yay!" icon. I don't have photoshop (or photoshop skills). If I did, I'd make one for you. Maybe I'll make one with MS Paintbrush. 'kay?

Would you prefer Fred Astaire type dancing, or Yule Brenner in King and I dancing?

I NEEDS a "dances you" icon so much yes:):) Fred Astaire, Yule Brenner, all is good here, but you have no obligation to make me one because eventually I should stop being lazy and make one myself yes:):)

I have access to Photoshop, but not the necessary leet screengrab skillz needed to do the "dances you" icon I have in mind.

Fortunately.

*stuffs lack of screengrab skillz in ears to foil siren song of icon-making*

I, myself, felt a twinge of guilt over the idea of using copyrighted pics... so I Googled for free clip art...

I can see why they are free -- kitsch like I never thought possible!

I may just hand doodle an ms paint icon for myself, for my own amusement.

I think it was something posted in [livejournal.com profile] warinbabylon's LJ. I don't remember quite where or when, but I know it had to do with Doctor Who. And when I saw that you were also interested in mythology in your user info.

Absolutely. I'd rather write than eat. Actually, maybe I should write nore rather than eat. I'd lose even more weight! :D

*waves* Hello from me, too. Don't know whether you'll hear much from me -- am a great one for writing long comments and then deleting them in a fit of "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"-ism.

So yes, "silence from me" = "reading and enjoying but having nothing worthwhile to say". Hello!

Hello!

Well, with your user name, I can't accuse you of false advertising, can I?

But if I ask a direct question, you'll have to answer, right?

"What is your icon from, and what does it represent?"

It is a detail (read: appallingly blatant copyvio) from The Great Bear, by Simon Patterson, a lovely bit of modern art which takes the Tube Map (a thing I love beyond all reason, more than the London Underground itself, which I love a great deal) and replaces all the station names with famous people. I chose the particular section of it I did becaues it includes: Humphrey Bogart, which is the Great Bear's version of Mornington Crescent; Jean-Paul Sartre and Karl Marx, both of whom I have considerable time for; and best of all the fabulous "Karl Marx (change for Zeppo)" gag.
