...For well over twenty years. But I am seriously considering signing up for cable television. I want my C-Spans! I want to able to know what my reps are actually saying on my behalf. Besides, I actually enjoy watching the process of government at work.

*The principle being that it's our tax dollars that put the satalites up in space in the first place, so the cable companies shouldn't have an exclusive, private control over the access.

Actually, C-Span does do internet streaming for free at their website on http://www.c-span.org

It might be a little lousy looking to view with anything slower than broadband, but hey, if that's your cuppa...

yeah... my broadband is pretty sucky, speedwise. I might, in fact, get cable for the Internet, too... just do the whole bundle thing... not sure about that, though.

Yeah. That, too. My PBS station carried "Coupling" for a while, then dropped it -- and I miss Jeff! ;-)
