Date: 2005-12-24 05:09 pm (UTC)Anyway, "Rorty" is usually just translated as "Merry." But the general consensus is that it's more earthy, wild and rambunctious than that, with hints of green mossiness and spicy scents.
Sort of like "Get down -- get funky!" meant in the 1970s ("funky" originally meant "like a fungus").
