I bet you hand made your Valentine's Day card, and
probably the gift too. You like to keep things
personalized and unique. You're quite the
creative Valentine!

well, that's true. Even when I was in grade school, the thing I liked best was when the lessons were put aside, and the red, white and pink construction paper came out with the glue and scissors... :-)

No wonder....
Date: 2003-02-15 11:44 am (UTC)Yikes! That's enough to send any artist up into a garret... or a dragon into a cave.
Take what comfort you can, though, from this thought: Penny couldn't have been too perceptive if she still insisted on not liking you after loving your card. I mean, that card was an expression of you, right?
That ties into what I was saying yesterday, though: On the one hand, Valentine's day can be a wonderful celebration of love and friendship, and a bright spot at the tail end of a long, cold winter. But on the other, it can heighten feelings of lonliness for those who don't have a relationship, and heighten pettiness for those who desperately look for relationships in the wrong places (such as liking someone for their looks or status instead of how they express themselves).
Don't give up on trying to use your art to reach people, though. There's bound to be someone out there who gets it. Right?
