Probably. Don Fried for English, Dwight Paine for Math, Dorothy Ann Streeter for Art?
PDS went through science teachers like a football fan through popcorn, so I doubt we had any science teachers in common (Gary Fox and Dixon Onderdonk stand out most notably in my mind), and Robert Finklestien, my history teacher, was killed shortly after I graduated. IIRC, though, one of my classmates took over as interim teacher for the remainder of that year: Will Hart.
Anyway, much of my f'list are Doctor Who fans, so I think you'll fit in well here.
Yep! Robert was sadly, killed by a drunk driver, along with everyone in the car but his wife. They've had a solid science teacher for a while, he's awesome.:)
They also moved buildings, cause Vassar refused to renew their lease on the land (even though they owned the building). It's a nice place, but not so handicapped friendly, sadly. I have a devil of a time with the stairs, or the weird rickety elevator. They're also much bigger than before.
I think Don is still there, but Dwight left, along with Allison.
It's just so cool to talk online to someone else who went there.
Yeah... I know most of that history. I wrote the memorial program for Robert at the back of that little gray booklet they passed out at the memorial service ... the one that ended with the kite image?
And Dad was on the board when they did the search for the new building.
I also understand that the culture has changed in recent years, what with getting so much bigger -- more pressure from the parents for standardized tests and things?
Bah!!
Yeah... P.D.S. was it's own wierd little planet, wasn't it?
