Wierdness...

Okay, so I'm hanging out at my 'puter, trying to while the hours into numb submission, and every so often, at random times, I hear this sound... like the Geddup Noise, replayed at half speed, or something.

I'd say the "or something" was a foghorn... or something, except that I live about 20 miles from the ocean, and I don't think there are any lighthouses this side of the state border, anyway. Ocassionally, late at night, when the wind is just right, you can hear a train whistle, off in the distance. But this isn't anything like that... it sounds kinda muffled, and a bit like it's coming from my neighbor's house, in the development behind mine...

There it is again.

(and, as far as I can tell, it's random -- not on any timer, or anything).

Wierd.

Should I get this place on some map to the stars, or something, as a celebrity rest stop?

I heard it again, this morning. Coming from a different direction. This leads to the question: is whatever making this Noise inside my house?

No. Unfortunately, it neither wheezes nor groans, and the duration each time is much too short -- it lasts no longer than your standard chairscoot noise (just at a lower pitch).
