Hmmmm.....Should I be worried?

While talking with my dad, this afternoon, and bemoaning the state of our country, a thought occurred to us both:
The Bush Administration (though it may really be the Cheney administration) has said that "ordinary" American citizens need not worry about the National Security Agency spying on their communications without a warrant, through the "Anti-Terrorism Electronic Survelance Act," because it only covers international communications.
But what about LiveJournal? It's electronic, and I use it every day to knowingly and deliberately communicate with foreigners outside the U.S.A.. I seriously doubt that anyone on my f'list has "known ties to terrorism," but the Administration refuses to give any information on how tight those ties have to be before their suspicions are raised. Did one of you ride in a cab, that, an hour earlier, had ferried a man who had a cousin in Afghanistan who knew someone who knew someone who knew someone who ____? Maybe the cabby passed on information to you! And maybe you and I are passing information between us, in code!
(I am, currently, working on a collaborative story that involves post-war deals in contraband technology... it's the Time War, from Doctor Who, and the contraband technology are fictional TARDISes [Time Machines, that is, for you spys out there, reading this]... But if the NSA can write a 400 page report on the threats posed to the nation by a Quaker activist group, I'm not exactly sure we're dealing with the sharpest tacks in the box, here...)
Oh, dear. Am I going to have to spam my journal everyday, now, so if the postings stop, you'll know I've been shut down by the government?
