• Damn Merc Retro, and the Horse he rode in on (LJ's "restored draft" saved nothing except a single < , and it was a long post, too)!



• Watched The Story of 1 on Wednessday night, and liked it, too. But I am dismayed, because I can find no pretty webpage about it. My favorite bit of info: the number 0 first appeared in a description of a garden large enough to grow enough flowers for the temple bouquets. It first appeared on BBC2 in September '05... did any Brits on my f'list catch it?



• It is now April 1. I do not like April Fool's Day. Even if it is the survival of an ancient Pagan fest (according to Wikipedia, here), today, it's just an excuse to be mean.



• We 'Merkins have to turn our clocks ahead at the end of today. This is, apparently, Bush's Big Plan To Save Energy. Next year, we'll turn them ahead on March 14 and not turn them back until November 5. Um... Did anyone bother to tell him that the sun will still set earlier, and rise later, no matter what the clocks say?



• nostalgia_lj wrote an essay-like thing of greatness about why the RomanticLead!Doctor (of Doctor Who) bothers old school fans like me, and even if you don't know anything about Doctor Who you should read it, because it is that great.
