(and a complete nonsequitor: For the last several days, Lj has been showing the wrong date on this update page -- I have to change it by hand in order to post. This morning, it said it was the 17th... has anyone else been having that problem?)

Not knowing how the update page works, is there any chance it could be a problem with your computer's clock rather than with LJ?

Thanks for reminding me to check... the other day, I was experimenting over how the year would really look if we had a sidereal calender (13 months of 28 days each), and I must have clicked "okay" instead of "canceel" when I closed my computer's calender.
