That Johari Window Thingie

So, I gave into my curiousity, and set up a window for CapriUni.

Though I must say, I really dislike that "fixed set of adjectives" the site makers gave us to work with. There are some really glaring omissions (as snowgrouse points out, there's no "creative"). And at the same time, many of the words are almost synonymous.

So, (for example) say I pick the word "reflective" to describe myself, but a friend picks "calm," then "reflective" gets kicked into the "Facade" corner of the window, implying that I am fooling myself, somehow, about that personal quality. But, in fact, both of us are describing the same aspect of who I am. "Kind," "Warm," "Caring," "Sympathetic," and "Loving" are all synonyms in this context, too, as are "Clever," "Intelligent," and "Ingeneous." And since each person is only allowed to pick six words, total, you're basically playing with random chance, hoping your friends pick the exact same synonyms that you did. And which words they pick have more to do with their own language style (i.e. your friend just likes the word "warm" better than "sympathetic") than what they think of you, the results are skewed, I think, to paint us all as self-unaware.

It looks like whoever set up this website went through the dictionary and picked every seventh adjective, or somesuch, instead of picking them by meaning. After all, the words are listed alphabetically. They should have let me pick the words. :::Nods strongly:::

I wouldn't call "high standards" "Cynical," would you? I think love for another person is one of the most powerful and important things in this life. I'm just not interested in playing romance as if it were a game. Does that make me a cynic, or a true romantic?

It must say something about my flist (or maybe not) that this is the only result I've seen so far... Either that, or something about this quiz.
