The day I got back from Art Garden, my friends/reading list page was peppered with obituaries for Laura Hershey: former Poster Child for the Muscular Dystrophe Association who grew up to be an international disability rights activist and poet. Her most (deservedly)famous poem is

And I wanted to share it with all my friends, because: Yes! THIS! A thousand times, this! (and I wanted to shout it at my TV, last night, when I happened upon a scene of The Biggest Loser [Think "Survivor," but all about dieting and losing weight, where if you lose X pounds, each week, you deserve to be proud, but if you lose less than that, you deserve to be ashamed]).
