The first two days, I was all careful and precise. Today, I just decided to go at it, and see what happens. I cut this out of a manilla devider for a three-ring binder, and stuck it together with scotch tape.

I only have a flatbed scanner, and I wasn't even sure I could scan it as all. As it is, I like the result. Does this count as two pieces of art (the original paper form, and the picture of the paper form)?

In other news, I ran over a sewing needle, and flattened a tire of my wheelchair (again); this time, it was the front wheel, and I discovered what happened when I backed up, and the needle pricked me in the heel (ow!).

Audrey won't be able take it to the wheelchair fixing place until Monday -- and I'm still not sure if they have the right size tire in stock (I should have the dimensions memorized for when I call, because I can't measure the wheels myself, and especially when I'm on the phone on the other side of the room).

I think I'll assauge myself by ording out some dinner (can't cook from my manual chair, anyway) -- and get some chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Oh well, now... how can I hang my lion on the wall, and where should I hang it?

Somewhere where it can scout the Approaches :-)

Hee! I have such a place, but it is in close proximity to where a living cat scouts the Approaches, and my paper lion would be vulnerable to hairballs...

I'd tape a piece of thin cord to the back & hang it from a nail somewhere that the light hits it at an angle, cuz it would have *great* shadows.

I almost prefer the scanned image to 3d original for that very reason, as the jolly beastie appears to be emerging from the shadows. I may just scan it again, but next time, turn it 90 degrees, so those scanning stripe lines run vertically, in oriention to his fase -- suggesting rainbow grasses of the savannah (grasses of the rainboy savannah?).
