This started as an abstract, paisley inspired, design. Then, a leg and bird's foot emerged; head, wings and tail followed soon after.

will be attampeting to catch up on other people's Naarmamo stuff as have been variously distracted the last week.

Thanks. I remembered, when drawing Day 8's na'art (http://pics.livejournal.com/capriuni/pic/0000wzdc), how much I loved doing "contour art" -- drawing a simple shape, and filling in the space around it with echoing lines. Nearly all my high school and college notebook doodles were of this type. So that's where I started with this one.
