Yesterday, on the way to the library, Audrey (my aide) and I got to talking about the silly, fun, kids shows that used to be on television, in the afternoon.

And that got me missing The Animaniacs, big time. So, late, last night/early this morning, I went on a search of Google's new video player, and found a few of the Animaniacs music videos (but not, unfortunately, "I am the very model of a cartoon individual"). When I clicked "Download," the site told me I needed to download Google's own video player.... so I aborted the process.

But -- would downloading the player be useful, anyway (could I use it for more things than just Google's stuff)? Today, when I went back to the site, I noticed the DivX logo in the lower left hand corner at the start of the vids... So is Google's player just a DivX player by another name, and does it play videos just as sweetly? I had a DivX player on my other computer...

So? sign me:

I've no idea about the video player program, I usually download the PSP/iPod versions of the videos which are MP4 format files which play perfectly using BSPlayer or Quicktime.

Okay. This computer came with Quicktime installed, so I'll try the Ipod version, and see if that works... if it doesn't, I could just delete it, right? no harm, no foul...

FYI, Animaniacs has been out on DVD since the end of July. :)

Thanks. I actually got the idea from a Quaker humor website.

(And it's true, too! Life is just a bowl of queries... As you will no doubt discover when Griffing starts asking "Why?"
